All of our surgeries are performed with a CO2 laser that results in (1) less bleeding, (2) less pain, (3) a faster recovery and (4) less chance of an infection. All of our surgeries include: (1) IV catheter, (2) IV fluids during surgery, (3) 24 hour morphine-like pain injection, (4) 24 hour anti-inflammatory injection, (5) propofol anesthesia induction, (6) post-op Class IV laser therapy (7) pain medications to go home with and (8) written discharge instructions. All patients admitted to the hospital are required to have (1) an up-to-date rabies vaccine, (2) an up-to-date FVRCP vaccine and (3) a negative fecal analysis within 1 year.
